Print-and-apply labelling project checklist

Define data, label format, trigger, verification, application and reject handling

Print-and-apply systems combine data creation, printing, dispensing, application and confirmation. State where data originates, how the correct job is selected, what triggers print, where the label is applied and what happens when printing or application is not confirmed.

Pack speed, position and surface must be controlled long enough for the applicator method. The label, ribbon or print technology and verification method should be tested with production materials.

Use the integration guide to define signals, line stops and reject response.

Print-and-apply evidence
