Cap feeder selection and trial planning

Assess closure orientation, bulk behaviour, delivery and change parts with production samples

A cap feeder must store, separate, orient and deliver closures without damage or uncontrolled jams. Shape, centre of gravity, skirt, liner, tamper band, pump or trigger features and finish affect the route.

Provide normal production closures in enough quantity to observe bulk behaviour and refill, not only a few hand-selected samples. Include variants sharing the capper so change parts can be assessed.

The feeder should communicate available, low-level or fault state as required. Safe clearing and access should be part of the operating method.
