Case taping machinery selection
Define case range, flap condition, tape, operator loading and line interfaces
Case tapers close cartons with adhesive tape after manual or automatic loading. The machine must match the smallest and largest case, board condition, flap behaviour, tape width, loaded weight and production method. Fixed-format and random-size systems use different adjustment routes.
An empty ideal case may not represent a loaded production carton. Provide cases with normal contents or equivalent weight and include bowed or variable board where it occurs.
For automatic use, define infeed spacing, upstream loading, downstream labelling or palletising, and the response when a case is not closed correctly.
